About Me

Hello, and welcome. I am a Master’s Level Licensed Psychologist from the Detroit, Michigan area, now permanently based here in Löhne, Germany (NRW; Bielefeld area). Over the past nine years, my career has been dedicated to a singular goal: helping children, adolescents, and adults deeply understand how their minds work and how to cope with everyday life, given that information.

I founded Strength Through Clarity because I know firsthand what it means to bridge two worlds. I relocated from the metropolitan Detroit area to Germany with my two teenage children. Because I am living the exact expat journey that many of my clients are navigating, I understand the beautiful complexities, the paperwork, the language hurdles, and the unique cultural fatigue that comes with planting roots in a new country. I am here to provide a warm, relatable space to help you find answers in your native language.

My Professional & Research Background

I earned my Master of Science in General Clinical Psychology from Eastern Michigan University in 2016. Since then, I have worked extensively across private practices, mental health clinics, and international clinical research organizations administering deep neuropsychological assessments, supervising testing divisions, and training global research teams on standardized psychometric protocols. My expertise spans across the entire lifespan, utilizing gold-standard tools to look closely at cognitive functioning, memory systems, executive dysfunction, language profiles, and objective personality structures.

I have always had a deep professional interest in how psychology, education, and culture intersect. Throughout my academic career, my research specifically focused on acculturation, cross-cultural clinical practice, and mental health. I have co-authored peer-reviewed research examining how acculturative stress impacts youth, and I have spent hands-on time volunteering inside the German gymnasium school system supporting international students, as well as personal time helping adolescents navigate the Gymnasium and Berufskolleg system. This unique blend of personal lived experience and research allows me to look at an expat's psychological profile with a deeply specialized lens.

Practicing in Germany & Europe

I hold an active, professional clinical board license as a Master’s Licensed Psychologist in the United States, and I am currently working on my advanced language qualifications to pursue my formal German recognition (Approbation).

Because I am navigating the German medical system myself, my private practice currently operates under non-medical counseling guidelines (Psychologische Beratung). This means that while our deep-dive evaluations and report reviews do not issue formal medical diagnosis codes for local public insurance, they leverage the exact same world-class psychometric rigor, data-driven insights, and clinical care that I have utilized throughout my entire career.

Outside the Practice

When I am not analyzing data or working with clients, I am usually out exploring the world with my family. You can find us traveling to new cities and towns, diving into local history, or huddled around the table playing board games.

I am an avid reader, a fan of puzzle-solving (which ties beautifully into my love for untangling complex assessment profiles!), and I enjoy playing golf. While I still need to officially schedule my German Platzreife exam, I love heading out for fun on local Golf für Jedermann courses. I am also pouring my energy into mastering the local language, currently working my way through C1 coursework.

I am here to give you, your family, or your local healthcare team a clear, evidence-based roadmap to move forward with confidence. If you are ready to find your clarity, I would love to meet you.
