Psychological Report Consultation & Review: Understanding Your Existing Assessment
Did you or your child receive a comprehensive psychological or neuropsychological evaluation in the past, but you're still left wondering what all the numbers and data actually mean?
Psychological reports are incredibly powerful tools, but they are often filled with dense clinical jargon, confusing acronyms, and complex statistics that are difficult to translate into everyday life. Furthermore, if you are an expat or international family moving between different countries, trying to figure out how a past evaluation from your home country applies to a brand-new international school or a local European support system can feel completely daunting.
If you already have a completed assessment report from a previous provider or another country, you don't necessarily need to start testing all over again. I offer dedicated Report Consultation and Review sessions to help you crack the code on the data you already have and turn it into real-world clarity.
How We Turn Old Data Into a Fresh Roadmap
During our virtual consultation sessions, we walk through your existing psychological report together to achieve three main goals:
Translate the Jargon: I break down complex test structures, scores, and cognitive profiles into clear, everyday language so you truly understand exactly what the original results show about how your brain processes the world.
Tailor the Recommendations: We look at the original recommendations and reshape them into practical, actionable, real-world strategies that fit your current daily routines, home life, or workplace.
Bridge the School Transition: For international families navigating a new country, we discuss how your child's past learning, memory, or language profile can best be understood and supported by their current international teachers, tutors, and school counselors.
What to Gather for Your Consultation
To make our review session as valuable as possible, we look at the historical records you already have on hand. Before our initial meeting, you should provide prior documentation. These can include:
Previous psychological, neuropsychological, or developmental evaluation reports.
Past academic testing, speech/language profiles, or occupational therapy reports.
Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), 504 Plans, or school learning support documentation.
Legal Framework & Scope of Service
Please note that this service is a consultative review of historical data provided by you. Because my practice is physically based in Germany and operates under non-medical psychological counseling guidelines (Psychologische Beratung), these review sessions do not include new psychometric testing administration, updates to standardized clinical scores, or the issuance of a new medical/psychiatric diagnosis. Instead, this service provides you, your family, and your private care network with an expert, conversational breakdown of your existing data to guide your current growth and local advocacy.
